Dear Friends,

The first concert in our 2009 Concert Series is coming up tomorrow night (Apr. 3)!! We will be bringing the Beene Family back to Illinois!  The concert will be held at 1st Baptist Church in Greenfield, IL at 7:00pm. As always, admission is free, but a love offering will be received. Invite your family, friends, Sunday school class and co-workers to join us for an evening of FAMILY style, Southern Gospel Music. It's gonna be a great evening!

There's another special event coming up next Friday night Apr. 10. Our family will be in concert with our good friend Big MO at Heart's Harvest Fellowship in Bethalto, IL at 7:00pm. This will also be a free will love offering concert.  We hope to see you there!!

Last Friday night it was so good to be back at the Arlee Theatre in MasonCity, IL.  Our buddy Ken Wise promotes several concerts throughout the year at the Arlee and we were honored to be invited back. It was great to have Bro. Ron Senters on the program as well. As always, Ron did a wonderful job of singing and has such a contagious spirit when he sings. It was a fun evening and we appreciate all those who attended. Friends from all over central IL attended and you all are always such a blessing and encouragement to our family!

Not too long after we pulled out of Mason City, we received a call from Pastor Kenny Epperson from Summit Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, MO where we were scheduled to be on Saturday night. Mt. Vernon was right in the path of the severe winter storm that moved through the midwest last weekend. The storm was supposed to hit right about the time our concert would be starting so Pastor Kenny thought it might be best to cancel. As you know, these things are simply out of our control. We are already working with Pastor Kenny on rescheduling a date and we look forward to being with Summit Baptist in the near future!!

We slowly made our way Saturday, towards Kansas City trusting the Lord to provide better weather for Sunday and He did just that! We woke up Sunday morning to the beautiful sunshine. We were so excited to be back at Happy Hill Church of God in Butler, MO. Pastor Ron Dunlap is a RIOT!! We love this guy to death and he will keep you in stitches constantly! We had a tremendous service that morning and we greatly appreciated the love and kindness that the folks showed to our family. After the service, the laughter and fellowship continued as Pastor Ron and his wife treated us all to dinner at the Flaming Lantern. It was GREAT!

Sunday evening was our first time to be at Full Gospel Assembly in Independence, MO and boy did we have a great time! Pastor & Mrs. Doyle Ankrom have such a precious heart for the Lord and they welcomed our family with open arms. Almost the entire audience had never heard our family before and we had a wonderful evening of worship with them. It was a nice surprise to have our friend Joyce Boike show up at our concert! We first met her grandparents down in south Texas back in the late '90's and we quickly became friends with the entire family! We would like to ask you all to pray for Joyce's mother Carol as she is recovering from a brain anuerism she suffered recently. We rejoice in hearing of the progress she has already made.

A highlight of our weekend was to have our good friends David & Kathy Parrett join us. They are just like extended family and we greatly appreciate their friendship. (Despite the fact that we gave Dave a headache) haha we love ya Dave! :-)
