Dear Friends,
It is now time to catch up. Sorry for not getting an e-letter out last week but the holiday on Monday, the 25th, seemed to put everything off schedule and on our way to Ohio, last Friday night, we realized we didn't send the e-letter!
May 23, 24 & 25 was a great time in Branson, MO. Yes, we had a lot of rain but that didn't stop the fun. We want to say thanks to everyone who joined us, especially Mary Snapp and her friend Phyllis from the south Chicago area, and David & Kathy Parrett from Jefferson City, MO. We have been singing at Treasure Lake Resort about 24 years. We love going there and meeting new friends and also enjoying the area. We also want to say a big THANK YOU to the manager, Lenny, for blessing us with tickets for the family to attend "Noah, the Musical". What a fantastic production! If you are in the area, please add it to your schedule. You will be blessed. We always find time to hit the Outlet Mall, Putt-putt golf, and the (indoor) waterpark! We look forward to being in Branson again Dec 6th with The Todd Allen Family at the Circle B Theater! Make plans to come join us for a festive Christmas presentation.
Last weekend, we headed out Friday evening for Iberia, OH. Scott, Mariah & Gracen were not able to be with us because Scott graduated Sat. from the IBEW Apprenticeship Program and is now an official Electrical Journeyman! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! We missed them but Tressa did a great job filling in for her big sister and we really are greatful for Glen helping out running sound in Scott's place.
This was our 3rd time to be in Iberia but we have known Pastor Pat Fruth for 10 years. We had a great service and many visitors from other churches joined us. If you are ever around Pastor Pat very long, you realize she loves to laugh, enjoys worship and Praising the Lord! What a blessing to share a time of fellowship with the Fruth's at Pizza Hut after the service! Mm good..... Thanks friends, we love you all.
After winding through the hills of Northeast Ohio, (and that is literally what we did LOL), we made our destination of Coshocton. We have been in Coshocton several times and there have been very few that Violet and Harold Titus have missed! We have become dear friends through the years and appreciate them. We also appreciate Pastor McMillan and the rest of his congregation. Again theLord blessed the service and He is the one who deserves all the Praise! We were also blessed to have another church in town join us for worship and I apologize for not getting their name. We want to say what a joy it was to have Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Fisher join us for the morning. Andy used to live in Roodhouse and was married last year and lives in Holmes County Ohio. Thanks so much for making the trip down to be with us. After the service we quickly packed up, grabbed a bite to eat, and headed for the next stop in Richmond, IN.
Being so thankful for safe travels, we arrived in Richmond at 4 pm just in time to set up for a 6 pm service. This was our first time at Southview Church of the Nazarene. Brother Paul Mingus was such fun and made us feel at home. He met us as we arrived and we soon experienced a common bond and really enjoyed his humor.Despite a smaller crowd, we experienced a sweet time of worship with these dear people! Even though their air-conditioning was broken that didn't stop the Praise from going up! Again we had folks joins us from serveral different churches in the area.
As I type this letter, Brady and Melanie are in Nashville, TN attending the tracking session for our new CD. Tim Parton is once again producing this project along with ET Everett. They keep calling with updates and are more excited each time they call with the progress and Tim's creativity! Please be praying the Lord will use this project to really touch the hearts of people and encourage them to follow Christ!
We want to say Thank You to all who continue to pray for our Nanny, Pat Gobel. The recovery has been slower than expected, facing some unexpected challenges, but we know God will provide. Please continue to keep her and Glen in your prayers. We miss them but look forward to them being back onthe bus soon!
Blessings,
The Chosen Ones
