Dear Friends,
The weekend is here again, and February is just around the corner! Just a reminder, Christmas is just about 11 months away!!! :-)
Last Sunday morning was absolutely AWESOME! This was our 1st time to be with Pastor Roger Welty and Victory Faith Family Church in Ft. Madison, IA. This was the church's Homecoming celebration and we were honored to be able to worship and celebrate with them. The Lord is doing a great work in Ft Madison and it was such a blessing to hear how Pastor Welty took such a great leap of faith back in the '80's and followed the Lord's leading to move from North Carolina to Ft Madison, IA. Folks, the Lord can do tremendous things through our lives if we are only faithful to follow His leading. I believe Pastor Welty said that 1st service back in the 80's had 13 people in attendance and they have now grown to a congregation of around 300. PTL! Thanks to Pastor Welty and all the church for inviting our family to celebrate with them. We can't WAIT to go back to Victory Faith Family Church!
Tuesday night we were invited to sing for "Cabin Fever Days" at the 1st United Methodist Church in Rochester. This is a fun day planned for the Seniors of the church just to get out of the house and fellowship with one another. There were activities all day long and the evening concluded with a tremendous potluck and then a concert. (yes, we did our best to sing after the potluck) A great crowd came out to join us and we had a blast! Several friends from the area were in attendance but the majority of the audience had never seen our family before. All the folks were so kind and receptive and we want to say a big Thank You to Mrs. Linda Sichlau for putting the evening together! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel right at home and that just makes the night flow so much smoother.
Tonight we had a surprise Birthday party for Ashlea! She is now 13 years old!!!! My how time flies! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEA! We love you! (and just a reminder to all you younger teenage boys out there, Scott and Brady keep a close eye on her!) LOL
As always, we covet your prayers as we head out again tomorrow night. Thank you so much for your continued love and support and we hope to see you soon!
Blessings,
The Chosen Ones
